Scenario: You’ve just seen someone you find attractive and he doesn’t wear a wedding band. What do you do?
How to ask a man out on a date doesn’t have to be so nerve wracking. If you’re into the dating scene right now and looking, this approach won’t harm anyone.

How To Ask A Man Out On A Date (you fill in the blanks):
1) Say “Excuse me, I hope you don’t mind me interrupting your day but I can’t help but notice….…………….” Say something that you observed that you liked such as “you’re reading an article on…..or that is a very cool shirt/hat/tie you are sporting” etc……end with a… question to get him talking.
For example, say he’s reading about the headline news or about skiing. Comment on what he’s reading and ask him an involving question. IE: “Yes, I heard about that this morning on the radio news, do you know of anyone affected by that?” or “Do you have any great tips on becoming a better skier, I could use some?”
2) Next, introduce yourself. Put out your hand and offer a handshake “My name is ……., and I find your conversation interesting…….or ……. there’s something about you that I like……followed by….”maybe we could meet for coffee sometime, I work/live close by………maybe we could hookup during a lunch break?”
*the word “maybe” doesn’t give ultimatums* It’s a very soft approach.
3) If he says yes, great, offer to exchange contact info - a phone number or email address is fine. Set up the date and time then if you can. If not, follow up with him.
If he says no or is apprehensible, help him out. Don’t let it become an awkward situation for both of you. It’s OK that he says no. You will undoubtedly find others attractive and approachable people. He may even tell you he’s engaged or committed etc.
I hope you practice this tip on how to ask a man out on a date. Get comfortable with the words beforehand so you don’t forget them when you two are talking. Try to think of it this way, you’ve just made his day, and you’re that much closer to making your life.
